My prenatal classes include asana (postures), vinyasa (flowing movement with the breath), gentle breathing, relaxation, meditation and guided visualization to help reduce physical discomfort, stabilize joints, increase circulation and reduce fatigue. I also incorporate childbirth education and yogic philosophy as it pertains to expecting mothers. Even if there has been no previous experience with yoga, women who are healthy and without complications can begin in their first trimester.
